KIDDE RADON DETECTION KIT Radon is an odorless, tasteless, invisible and radioactive gas, a by-product of decaying uranium. Outdoors, radon is diluted to such low concentrations that it is usually nothing to worry about. Inside a home, however, radon can accumulate, entering through dirt floors, cracks in concrete, joints, or through drains, sumps, and water wells. According to EPA, radon is the nation's second leading contributor to lung cancer, next to smoking. The Kiddie Radon Detector Kit allows you to test for radon gas in your home or workplace. Place the radon sampler tray in the test location for 3 days. Then, mail the radon sampler tray in pre-paid self-addressed envelope for analysis by the EPA-Registered Radon Testing Laboratory, Alpha Energy Laboratories.
Along with the test results mailed back to you from the lab, you will receive information on how to conduct follow up tests, as well as a detailed list of governmental agencies to contact for more information.
